The Ministry of Education has come up with guidelines to reopen schools from 15 October. Schools will reopen in a sequential manner. Schools will have to arrange and implement proper cleaning and disinfection procedures of the campus. Grounds, classrooms, furniture, storage space, water tanks, washrooms, school premises will be completely disinfected everywhere.
Indoor areas should have proper air flow.
Schools are advised to form work teams such as emergency care and support, hygiene inspection, object support among others.
Entry and exit times will be planned for all school going people and social disturbances must be maintained. Therefore, schools have to come up with a new seating arrangement that is compatible with social distance guidelines.
During all activities in schools, all staff members, workers and students must wear a face cover / mask at all times.
The academic calendar will be planned with all sections, breaks and examinations.
It is the duty of the school to collect information about the current health status of the students.
Schools should have all contact information from nearby emergency centers, and healthcare centers.
If anyone is showing signs of COVID-19 infection, the prevention and isolation protocol should be followed as directed by the government.
All precautions should be taken while preparing and serving mid-day meals in schools. The government suggested that food should be cooked hot and properly.
